My Chemical Romance set October release for The Black Parade 20th anniversary edition

My Chemical Romance have confirmed a 20th anniversary edition of The Black Parade. The expanded release arrives October 23 through Reprise Records and is available for pre-order now.

Alongside the full album, the package gathers six bonus tracks: previously unreleased live recordings from the band's 2007 show at Maxwell's in Hoboken, captured during the original tour, plus three fan-favorite B-sides that had been scattered across different releases over the years. One of them, Someone Out There Loves You, has never been issued before. To mark the announcement, the band shared a live version of The Sharpest Lives from that same Hoboken performance.

In a statement, the group said this is the first time everything finished during those sessions has been collected in a single set. They also brought back artist James Jean, who shaped the record's original visual identity, to create three new pieces revisiting iconic characters from that era. "Thank you for marching with us," the band wrote.

The news lands mid-run on The Black Parade 2026 Tour, a full theatrical production with costumes, characters, stage design, additional performers and pyrotechnics. The show is split in two: the first half, set in the fictional authoritarian world of Draag, delivers The Black Parade front to back, while the second moves to a B-stage for songs spanning the band's career.

The US leg continues into the fall and closes with a five-night stand at the Hollywood Bowl, wrapping on Halloween night, before the band heads to Asia. Along the way, My Chemical Romance headline two festivals: Louder Than Life in Louisville, KY, on September 18, and Aftershock in Sacramento, CA, on October 1.
