Hayley Williams turns up as herself in a surprise cameo on Netflix's DANG!

Hayley Williams makes a surprise cameo in DANG!, the new adult animated comedy created by Hacks writer Andrew Law. The series premiered on Netflix on Tuesday, Sept. 8, and the Paramore frontwoman shows up in the second episode playing herself.

In the scene, Eunice Dang — voiced by Poppy Liu — is struck by a string of cars and bounces between them like a pinball. She then hallucinates Williams, who informs her she's "in the deepest recesses of her subconscious" and takes on the role of her guide. The reason, per the dialogue: a summer Eunice spent working at a CVS, where "Ain't It Fun" played every hour, lodging the Paramore song into her memory for good.

Williams walks the character through a run of her memories. The sequence ends with the two kissing as "Ain't It Fun" plays, before Eunice wakes up in a hospital bed.

Writing on Substack, Williams thanked Law for the chance to use her "soft voice" and urged followers to stream the show. The singer, still fronting Paramore, has increasingly taken on projects outside of music, and DANG! marks her first turn in adult animation.

All of DANG! is currently streaming on Netflix, with Liu in the lead role. It is the first series created by Law, whose credits include episodes of the acclaimed comedy Hacks.
